BTEC Level 3 in Close Protection (QCF)

  • The course runs for three weeks approximately.
  • Very comprehensive & in-depth course which covers all the necessary understanding and skills required by individuals who work in the CP sector to provide professional and skilled services.
  • Comprises of theory, practical lessons and multiple-choice exams.
  • This qualification consists of three units;
    • Working in the Private Security Industry
    • Working as a Close Protection Operative
    • Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry.

Level 2 in Door Supervision

  • The course is for four/five days & based on the SIA specification for core competency training for Door Supervisors.
  • Covers the necessary understanding and skills required by individuals who work to provide a more secure leisure environment.
  • Comprises of theory, practical lessons and four multiple-choice exams.

SIA Upskilling Door Supervisors

  • SIA (Security Industry Authority) has recently made it compulsory for all officers who have Door Supervision License, attained before July 2010 to complete this top-up training course in order to re-apply for their licenses.
  • If you launch your renewal application with SIA without passing this course, then your application is likely to be rejected for Door Supervision License and you will then be sent Security Guarding License by SIA.
  • You should apply and attend this course if you undertook your qualification prior to the QCF Door Supervision qualifications (July 2010) and if planning to renew your License for Door Supervision as well.

Level 2 in Security Guarding

  • This course enables them to achieve the required accreditation enabling the application for an SIA License in Security Guarding. 
  • Comprises of theory, practical lessons and four multiple-choice exams.

Level 2 in CCTV (PSS)

Stewards and Spectator Events

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of stewards and other staff at spectator events.
  • Know how stewards prepare for their duties at spectator events.
  • Know how stewards check for and respond to hazards at spectator event venues.

Key Holding and Alarm Response (BS 7984:2008)

  • A Key Holding and Alarm Response Officer (KHAR) is a trained person who attends a location (determined by contractual requirements) in response to an event and when required provides guarding services.
  • The four modules consist of revision of license qualification training and updating of current skills.
  • The new British Standards require Key Holders and Alarm Response Officers to have been formally trained and assessed in their duties to comply with the requirements of ACS audits.
  • Part of that training is to take place in the classroom and this course fulfills the classroom section of BS 7984:2008.

One Day SIA Disengagement and Physical Intervention Skills

  • As of September 2010 the SIA requires Door Supervisors to be trained in Physical Intervention in order to gain their license.
  • All Door Supervisor training now includes an additional day on Physical Intervention.
  • Existing Door Supervisors are not required to carry out this course, however many would like to add this to their skill-set in order to meet employer requirements or to improve their professional skill set.
  • This course is designed to meet those requirements.

Level 3 Disengagement and Physical Intervention Skills

  • If you have PTLLS or equivalent and 1886 and want to teach Physical Intervention to the Security, Healthcare and other frontline industries, then this ICM qualification is just what you need.

Level 2 Handcuffing

  • The use of handcuffs is becoming more popular for Door Supervisors as a reliable way of restraining people. However proper training is essential to ensure that full account is taken of the legal and medical implications of their use.
  • This course will equip you to administer handcuffs safely.

SIA Vehicle Immobilization

  • This is the four day course.
  • It is designed to provide the essential basic information, skills and knowledge required by a vehicle immobilizer in the private security sector.
  • It meets the requirements set by the Security Industry Authority to apply for a license to practice, and culminates in a multiple-choice exam.
